Will Paice is an award-winning author, filmmaker, digital marketer, designer and architecture enthusiast.
After 20 years in the film and television industries in London and Los Angeles, Will now lives and works in Kent with his wife and children.
In 1997, Will moved from London to Hollywood, California to work at Panavision, the iconic film services company. It was during this time that he developed his passion for the newly rediscovered midcentury architecture of southern California, and became involved in the preservation and restoration of landmark properties in LA and Palm Springs.
In 2003, he met Julius Shulman by the pool at Orbit In, a “motor court inn” designed by Herb Burns and completed in 1957. Nestled under the dramatic San Jacinto Mountains in the historic Tennis Club District (a hangout for Hollywood stars since the 1930s) the hotel provided a dramatic setting for a conversation with the maestro of midcentury architectural photography, who would go on to become the subject for the documentary, Visual Acoustics: The Modernism of Julius Shulman.
